Who is it for?

Businesses that need an additional, geographically separate backup for their servers. We agree which systems and data are included before setup.

With our online backup based on Acronis Cyber Cloud, you back up agreed server data outside your server room. The backup is automatically transferred, encrypted, to a German data centre every night. Our service technicians monitor the process.

Which data is backed up

Before setup, we clarify your servers, applications, data and required storage. We also offer backups for workstations and Microsoft 365: Acronis Cyber Cloud for workstations, and Hornetsecurity or Acronis Cyber Cloud for Microsoft 365. These environments, their scope and prices are agreed separately.

Retention and access

Retention is individually agreed: up to twelve months, longer on request. The quote specifies available recovery points and key and access management. Who can decrypt and restore data depends on this agreement. The available data depends on the last successful backup.

Plan and test recovery

In an emergency, available backups can be used for recovery. Before you place an order, we clarify which recovery services are included, the prerequisites and any additional work that may be needed.

A successful backup run alone does not prove recoverability. Restore tests are individually agreed or covered by the agreed disaster recovery test. With our Backup Check and Restore Test, we test recovery to an agreed scope.

Our fair pricing model

We take care of the entire online backup topic for your servers at a fixed monthly price:

Online backup – €110.00/month per server

Max. 1,000 GB (1 TB) of storage including monitoring of the backup by your IT service provider

Additional 100 GB of storage – from €7.00/month

Including 8,000 GB (8 TB) as an additional local backup – €30.00/month each

The minimum contract term for all packages (base backup, additional storage, and optional local backup) is uniformly 12 months. Amounts are due annually in advance and collected by SEPA direct debit. Plus any travel costs. All prices are net, plus statutory VAT.

What we clarify in the initial conversation

Which servers and applications are important? How much data needs backing up? How much data loss and downtime can your business tolerate? With this information, we assess the suitable backup and restart requirements. Binding recovery objectives depend on the specific agreement.

Frequently asked questions

Isn't a local backup on the server enough?

No – in the event of a break-in, fire, or power surge, the server and the local backup are often destroyed at the same time, and then all your data is gone. The online backup stores your data separately in a German data center, serving as a reliable secondary backup.

Who can access my backed-up data?

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Who can decrypt and restore a backup depends on the agreed key and access management, which we clarify with you during setup.

How do I know the backup actually worked?

Our service technicians monitor whether the backup was completed successfully. If you have any questions or issues, our service hotline is also there to help. For extra proof that a restore actually works in an emergency, we also offer our Backup Check & Restore Test.

What if our data volume grows?

No problem: beyond the base package's 1,000 GB, you can simply add more storage in 100 GB increments, and optionally add a local secondary backup of up to 8,000 GB.
